About the Role:

We are currently recruiting Interns to join our Sustainable Finance team within Corporate & Infrastructure Ratings. The successful candidate will specifically be working on research, development, application and roll out of new products being developed by the Sustainable Finance team in the ESG and green finance space.

Responsibilities will include:

• Research and analysis of ESG, environmental and climate related risks, with a special focus on adaptation and resilience financing, and how these could impact credit quality over the short, medium and long term. This work should result in the publication of research commentaries that are widely read by the investment community.
• Involvement in supporting the Head of Sustainable Finance and his team in product development and market outreach activities such as Sustainable Finance conferences and may involve travel from time to time.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of (and interest in) ESG, environmental finance and climate change markets
• An understanding of environmental economics
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Ability to manipulate data from databases: charting, using pivot tables and some basic Excel manipulation, such as lookup functions and logical tests
• Able to work independently and be resourceful, gathering information from various internal and external sources to summarize trends and themes
• Ability to work on Powerpoint presentations
• Good attention to detail
