About the role

Maintenance is vital to the smooth running of the UK’s rail operations. Working alongside our customers, Bombardier’s Service Execution teams have forged a market-leading position in the important area of train life-care and support.

Working in partnership with our customers, train operators and asset owners, we are responsible for the maintenance and safe delivery of trains into service on a daily basis. Operating from our Fleet Maintenance Depots, we can provide total fleet maintenance and take responsibility for all customer requirements, including refuelling, depot management, full maintenance requirements and spares provision, fulfilling high standards of availability and reliability.

Our work enables thousands of passengers to safely arrive to their destination every day, all over the UK.

Working in Services Execution, you will make the most intelligent use of energy and materials, while partnering with our suppliers and meeting our customers’ demands for optimal safety, reliability, passenger comfort as well as cost efficiency.

We are looking for individuals to join our Operations Management, Engineering and Supply Chain teams in London. You will rotate around our Depots (East Ham, Ilford, New Cross Gate, Old Oak Common, Willesden, Seven Kings). We are also looking for individuals to join our Data Analytics team in Derby. You will complete a two-year intensive development programme whilst providing a tangible contribution to the success of the team. You will undertake a series of rotations around the company gaining an understanding of the business and the service operation lifecycle. Within a climate of innovation that yields value-based solutions, you will also support solutions to meet the customer requirements as part of the safety case and train presentation, support the identification and delivery of reliability improvements.

On the job learning is complemented by a modular personal development programme in your given career route. Supported by a mentor you will work towards gaining a relevant professional qualification.

Requirements

You will need a minimum 2:1 BEng, MEng or PhD, in Engineering Electrical/Electronic, Maths, Science or a manufacturing discipline and have a desire to work in an operations management, engineering, supply chain or data analysis teams.

Candidates must have excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for making things happen.
