About the Role:

As the Project Officer you will be expected to accomplish project objectives by planning and implementing project activities; including evaluating implementation and progress of projects and initially developing our social media communications.

You will ensure that a project is completed on time, within budget and that the projects objectives are met. Management of day-to-day activities will be required as will projects separate to usual day-to-day business activities.

The Project Officer will be expected to understand the Client and Company interests, providing advice on the management projects, organising the various professional people working on a project, making sure that all the aims of the project are met, making sure the quality standards are met, using IT systems to keep track of progress.

Responsibilities of the Project Officer will be to support the integrated communications strategy of the Company incorporating PR, marketing, social media and our online tools. You will implement communications plans to increase brand awareness and recognition for the company, manage relationships with Clients to initiate and support current and future activities, develop relationships with key media to secure and grow media coverage both online and offline and write UK press releases for local media. You will also be expected to monitor press stories relating to the company and it’s brand and maximise opportunities for positive PR, manage the content of the website, Facebook and Twitter, deliver post project review reports, support the company’s internal communication strategy and support the Communications and Marketing Manager and the management team at the Sheffield Contract as appropriate.
