About the role:

Our aim is to give you a taste of what it’s like to work here, along with valuable experience that will help guide your career choices.

We’ll reward you with a salary of £21,500 pro rata, depending on location.

The programme starts with an induction day, where you’ll learn about RBS, meet your fellow interns, and get the chance to talk with colleagues from around our business.

You’ll then begin a unique 10 week placement, where you’ll attend training workshops, get involved with our day to day work, and take part in a business improvement project. This’ll give you the opportunity to complete research on a topic and come up with recommendations for improvement or change to support our ambitions.

During the programme, you’ll also work on a Social Impact Project. This’ll help you to develop keys skills covering team working, planning, creative thinking, business plan writing and problem solving – all while contributing to a valuable cause.

For the full 10 weeks, we’ll pair you with a buddy and a line manager, who’ll help you grow your network and provide guidance and support.

At the end of the placement, we’ll assess you on what you’ve learned. Complete this successfully and we’ll offer you a place on our 2021 Data graduate programme, where you can carry the skills you’ve learned forward and take the next exciting step in your career.

Requirements:

To be eligible for our internship programme, you’ll need to be in your penultimate year of a university degree, and on course to achieve a 2:1 or above.

We’ll be looking out for curious and inquisitive people with a real passion and drive to explore how data can be used to make a positive difference for our customers.
