Business Development Assistant at Pricecheck | International Brand Trading

Where: England - South Yorkshire

Deadline: February 25, 2018

Type: Graduate

About the Company:

In the lively and competitive clearance market, Pricecheck has long established relationships with many major manufacturers and brand owners, sourcing quality product which we then sell on to a range of different outlets. We are traders – we buy and sell quality product, whilst understanding the market and getting to know exactly what our customers want. This simple and driven approach has seen us develop trade in over 75 countries as we continue to explore new categories, markets and territories.

About the Role:

Working as part of the wider Trading team, you will be helping to identify new opportunities, customers and suppliers to take the business further through thorough research, business feedback and applying your inquisitive approach. Seeing this research through to fruition, you will share your findings with the team to then monitor, accurately record and chase feedback, all managed through our CRM and bespoke account systems.

You will be providing support to the Business Development and Sales teams, especially in activities relating to account management and coordinating relevant updates to the CRM system - producing the resulting management information and reports as required. As your understanding of Pricecheck and our internal systems grows, you will be central in reviewing processes and developing the reporting available, enabling you to see first hand how your efforts are helping to shape the future growth of the company.

You will be a confident networker, attending industry events to gain market insight and in turn, develop into new leads and avenues to explore. As you will be managing your own projects, you will be disciplined, organised and methodical in your approach, which will also be required when coordinating our trade show activity in making travel arrangements, attending show set up and preparing the necessary sales tools for the event.

The role is varied and becomes what you make it – you will be in prime position to learn all about the business and our trading functions, enabling you to be involved in a wide range of activity and in time, focusing on the areas that encourage you to work to your strengths.

Requirements:

With so much going on, you need to be sharp, smart with an eagerness to learn – we ask for a minimum of a 2:1 degree in any discipline with strong A levels (or the associated equivalent). However, we look for more than just academic achievements of our team. Show us that you have entrepreneurial spirit, an interest in trading and an inquisitive mind - we would love to hear more from you.

You will be a confident communicator and work with clarity, with the tenacity to see ideas through to fruition. You will be an organised and logical thinker, questioning how your findings will benefit the business and making sure that your efforts are well focused. You will see the importance of attention to detail, yet awareness for the bigger picture.

As we trade internationally, we’re keen to hear from people who have language skills or experience of living and working overseas but these are not essential.
