About the Role:

Our summer actuarial intern programme offers undergraduates valuable first-hand experience of working in an actuarial team within a life office, and it also provides you with an exciting opportunity to demonstrate your potential to us at the earliest possible time before you graduate.

You will receive useful training and experience with or on: a wide range of actuarial disciplines, relevant software packages, presenting and team working. Regular feedback and coaching will also be provided from experienced actuaries, to help aid your own personal development.

Requirements:

• A strong desire to pursue a career as an actuary (qualification takes around five to six years on average);
• Ambitious, resilient, individuals who learn and adapt quickly
• Inquisitive strategic thinkers who care passionately about our customers
• Excellent problem solvers and communicators who work well with others;
• A strong academic record with at least a 2:1 degree; and
• A-Level or Scottish Higher Mathematics at a minimum grade C (or equivalent)
