About the Role:
Depending upon your skills, interests and future career aspirations, you may find yourself working as part of the Sales or Business Development teams:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Working as part of the wider Trading team, you will be helping to identify new opportunities, customers and suppliers to take the business further through thorough research, business feedback and applying your inquisitive approach. Seeing this research through to fruition, you will share your findings with the team to then monitor, accurately record and chase feedback, all managed through our CRM and bespoke account systems. You will be providing support to the Business Development and Sales teams, especially in activities relating to account management and coordinating relevant updates to the CRM system - producing the resulting management information and reports as required.
SALES DEVELOPMENT
Working alongside an expanding team of sales representatives, you will be providing robust administrative support to ensure that the team are best placed to focus on trading and making the most of the sales opportunities available. As our export markets continue to grow, you will take guidance from those around you to pull together price lists and offers for our sales team to send on to our customers, help to prepare for meetings and be a whizz at systems administration. You will help to chase paperwork from customers when needed, and provide cover for holidays and when the Sales teams are overseas or out on the road. In this fast paced role, you will also work with the Business Development team, in researching new territories and prospective customers to help direct focus weeks and sales activity.
Requirements:
With so much going on, you need to be sharp, smart with an eagerness to learn – we ask that you be studying towards a business related degree with strong A levels (or the associated equivalent) and at least a grade B in GCSE Maths and English. However, we look for more than just academic achievements of our team. Show us that you have entrepreneurial spirit, an interest in trading and enthusiasm for working - we would love to hear more from you.
You will be a confident communicator and work with clarity, with the tenacity to see activity through to completion. You will be an organised and logical thinker, operating at pace and under pressure, whilst not sacrificing quality and accuracy. Your commercial approach will ensure that your efforts are well placed, and your analytical skills will be challenged daily. You will see the importance of attention to detail, yet awareness for the bigger picture and keen to understand how business works in practice.
