About the Role:

Working to improve business processes within a manufacturing environment, this role will focus on key project work related to the sites supply chain performance. This placement will give you the opportunity to make a real difference to productivity, efficiency and customer service at Oldbury Site.

In return you will receive first-hand experience of a supply chain environment operating on a global basis, and exposure to the chemical manufacturing industry. This will give you a great head start as you go into completing your studies and your future career.

Typical projects include; studying the flow of materials and information and implementing innovative ways to simplify; working with external suppliers to bring Digital solutions to an operational environment; supporting change management as the site strives to optimise efficiency; analysing service performance and leading actions which contribute towards our drive for excellent customer centricity.

Requirements:

Studying a suitable degree, you will have the desire to gain business and industrial experience at a manufacturing company. You will have as a minimum:

  • an analytical approach to problems, with numeric and logical reasoning skills
  • capacity to work proficiently on a range of IT and business systems
  • strong interpersonal skills to interface with people in numerous departments; from shop floor; business; external suppliers and operational management.
  • confident practical approach, exploring day to day operations to find solutions
  • an ability to cope in a busy environment with a high workload and to be prepared to challenge the status quo
  • supply chain process appreciation
  • high energy, results drive and attention to detail
  • enthusiasm to extract the most from this exciting opportunity
