About the role:

Our Risk management team works with the data the business produces to identify and monitor risks, creating and delivering reports for the executive management, much of it in line with regulatory requirement. As such our team has responsibility for credit risk management and we are a key part in ensuring the financial success of VWFS.

  • Responsible for the production of all daily credit risk reporting for our Corporate and Retail customers.
  • Support the production of the Monthly and Quarterly reporting.
  • Production, monitoring and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (monthly) and Executive Summary reporting.
  • Analyse and investigate changes and movements in reported financial figures.
  • Data entry of information into multiple systems with corresponding commentary to describe current and forecasted trends for VWFS considering impact from the wider UK economy.
  • Production of defined reports to support the Dealer & Corporate non-dealer risk meetings with the appropriate business units such as Fleet supply.
  • Provision analysis to support the finance department.
  • Responsible for the production of corporate lending risk committee monthly data manipulation and PowerPoint presentation.
  • Responsible for data reconciliation between the two different accounting models.

Requirements:

  • Proven mathematical skills/ highly numerate
  • Good knowledge of Excel or any other data reporting programmes required
  • Methodical and disciplined approach to production of the reporting
  • Strong analytical skills and an inquisitive mind when dealing with data
  • An interest in Finance or financial risk
  • Studying towards a degree, preferably Economics or Business related
  • Able to adhere to strict deadlines, whilst paying attention to detail
  • Motivated by new challenges and a willingness to take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive to complete given work and able to take own initiative
  • Flexible approach to work both within a team and independently
