About the Company:
Godliman was founded in September 2000 as a values-driven, intelligence-focused Executive Search boutique, to provide retained recruitment services to the Asset Management sector. Our first office was in Godliman Street EC4, in The City of London; hence our name.
Over the last 14 years we have successfully completed more than 300 senior assignments, weathering the Financial Crisis of 2008, to become the largest Asset Management Executive Search Practice in Europe, with 17 employees focusing exclusively on the Asset Management sector.
Godliman is led by four Senior Consultants, each specialising in a specific segment of the market. Each consultant is supported by a dedicated Senior Associate and an Associate. We also have four full time Knowledge Managers, who work on maintaining our proprietary knowledge base, ensuring our market research is always up to date.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Graduate to work as a Research Associate. In this role, you will be supporting the Consultants and Senior Researchers in their day to day roles.
This role offers both operational responsibility, giving you an insight into how a successful city firm operates; and extensive contact with candidates and clients for assignment work. You will be given a broad range of support functions, giving you excellent exposure to all parts of our business and the City.
Some of the responsibilities the role might entail are:
We place great emphasis on firm-wide coordination of decision making, cooperative teamwork and institutional commitment, so you will get plenty of responsibility in this role.
You will also be trained to the highest industry standards as an Executive Search Researcher. In addition to in-house training, we will enroll you on the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) Accredited Researcher course, which is the gold-standard professional certified training programme for the industry.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone who is sociable, outgoing and a people-person. The principle tool of Executive Search Researchers is the telephone, so you must be comfortable on the phone, and telephone-based research. You will need to be organised and methodical, with strong attention to detail and an analytical, problem-solving mindset. We are looking for engagement, initiative and drive, with the ability to self-regulate and work with minimal supervision, taking personal responsibility and pride in the quality of your work.
