Professional Sales And Business Development Internship - Summer 2018 at Pay Justice

Where: England - North West

Deadline: May 15, 2018

Type: Internship

About the Company:

Main business: Information, advice and guidance

Pay Justice is a unique specialist campaigning organisation that helps overcome the barrier to making equal pay claims. Working in close partnership with the country’s leading Human Rights Lawyers, Leigh Day, we have a mission to reduce the gender pay gap by encouraging workers to make equal pay claims.

We are registered as a claims management company (so we can encourage and process these claims). We specialise in cutting edge social media strategy and communications to potential claimants.

About the Role:

This is an exciting role for someone who wishes to learn about selling in a professional environment with a company that has a proven record of working with some of the country’s leading law firms and blue-chip companies. It is offered as a full-time opportunity during the summer of 2018 with the potential for a part time role afterwards

The role will give you an understanding of customer relationship management systems and the opportunity to learn about business development and the sale process in a way that could make a positive impact on reducing gender inequality in the UK. The right candidate will have a direct influence on our work, including working directly with Pay Justice Directors and senior lawyers.

A typical week will involve networking, producing sales proposals, create financial models to include within proposals, liaising with Pay Justice’s current and former contacts, arranging meetings for pay Justice’s directors, pitching to businesses within a professional sales environment.

Whilst often working alone, there will be full support and structured mentoring. One of the biggest perks of working in a very small, flexible SME is you’ll be able to shape your own role in terms of content and in the direction that interests you. You’ll get to participate in a wide range of opportunities to help with new tasks and projects, coming from various people within the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Verbal communications skills
  • Interest in equal pay
