About the Opportunity

Ardian’s Fund Finance team is offering an internship in the London office to assist the Fund Finance officers in their daily tasks and will involve working on the latest secondary and early secondary funds of funds.

About the Role

The intern will more specifically have the following responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and control of fund cash flows, particularly calls and distributions to and from underlying investments and fund investors;
  • Control and review of accounting and quarterly financial statements of the funds including liaising with external fund administrators and fund accountants;
  • Weekly reconciliation of bank accounts and reporting to Investment team to assist in cash management decision making;
  • Monitoring and control of bank payments to ensure correct timing and amount of cash flows;
  • Input and control of underlying fund valuations;
  • Work alongside service providers on the monitoring and control of the diversification of all the Fund of funds platform

This list is not exhaustive and will vary depending on the capabilities of the intern and the needs of the team.

Required skills

  • High analytical capability
  • Intellectual rigour and discipline; ability to organise and perform work efficiently
  • Knowledge of and high competency in excel, word and powerpoint
  • The candidate should possess a broad set of quantitative, qualitative and interpersonal skills, and be a strong team player

Profile

  • Finance degree either completed or due to complete from leading business school or UK University. Minimum 2:1 or equivalent
  • Prior internship experience in an audit or investment management firm (preferred but not essential)
  • Good knowledge of accounting and finance
  • English native speaker (or fluent)

The internship will take place in our Mayfair, London office.
