About the role

We’re looking for a bright and articulate placement student to join us for a year. As well as learning software development, you’ll need to be customer focused, with the ability to learn our product quickly. We want you to help resolve product queries by clarifying the customer's problem; determining the source of the problem and helping the customer to fix this. The role will be varied, fun and challenging. You will need to work some evening shifts, although this will be part of your working hours for the week.
During the year we’ll provide you the opportunity to work with our development team. You will be able to use industrial software development tools, processes and techniques. Our goal is to prepare you for being a full-time graduate software developer at TAINA when you return to us after your graduation!

Requirements

  • You must have demonstrable software development experience. This can include University and personal projects.
  • Be a great listener
  • Be a full-time degree student, ideally in computer science / engineering
  • Have a passion for software development and learning
  • Outstanding communication skills, including writing
  • Articulate
  • Great problem solver
  • High level of initiative (self-starter)
  • Technically astute and with a strong desire to learn
  • Any previous work experience with customer service roles (including supermarkets and other client facing roles) is a big plus
