Detailed description and scope of the role:

The successful student will be part of a small team within ViiV Healthcare Supply Chain that is responsible for managing +£200 million spend which supports delivery of £3 billion of revenue.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Lead weekly supply governance meetings with Supply Chain shareholders

• Be the main point of contact within Supply Chain for commercial shipments of existing products and work with Customers and Suppliers to manage supply and resolve issues

• Generate weekly reports to support ViiV Supply Chain performance management and be the single point of contact in the team for business system queries (for example SAP)

• Provide reporting to support key monthly performance business meetings

• Coordinate the bi-monthly Supply Chain Risk Management meeting

• Provide demand management and supply chain analysis involving forecasting / capacity reviews of finished products and APIs

• Provide support for the introduction of new products in diverse global markets from initial market enquiry to first delivery

• Support Access to Medicine (ATM) tenders

o Ensure clarity on ATM and Not for Profit Pricing with GSK, ViiV commercial and ViiV Government Affairs

o Discuss tender proposals with commercial lead and with the GSK logistics group

o Manage the donation programmes from a supply perspective

• Support adhoc Supply Chain Issue Management projects and implement improvements

The role will involve interface with GSK, Pfizer and Shionogi as well as with other third party manufacturers and supply organisations, local operating companies/customers in many International markets, regulatory support functions, Finance and ViiV Healthcare’s Government Affairs group.

About the Programme:

During your internship you will be assigned to a client or investment team where you will shadow a senior executive and be expected to undertake a broad range of tasks including:

• Assisting client directors in preparing for client meetings

• Helping to implement policy changes to client portfolios

• Undertaking research into specific investments

• Managing and bringing to a conclusion specific strategic projects

Our 8 week Summer Internship programme will provide you with a fantastic introduction to Investment Management. It's also a great way to secure a full-time job after you graduate.

We invest heavily in our Internship programme to make sure it's one of the best around. As well as a detailed introduction to fund management, you can expect the kind of technical and interpersonal skills training that will prepare you for entry into any graduate scheme in our industry.

The work is designed to be challenging and useful. You will experience real responsibility on projects that add significant value to our business. One of these will be an intern group project, which you'll present back to senior members of the business at the end of your eight weeks.

We're looking for individuals who have a genuine passion for investment management and can demonstrate an interest in charities or private clients. As long as you can demonstrate your interest in this field, and you're strong academically, you could be from any degree discipline.

Our internship programmes are for penultimate year undergraduate students only. Final year students who plan to pursue a Masters year after the internship will also be considered although please make a note of this on your application.
