Valiance, a leading private equity firm is looking for an Investment Manager with solid management/strategic consulting and/or operational experience. Valiance focuses on investing growth capital in exceptional businesses supported by long-term trends: growing and ageing population, need of better and more efficient healthcare, global demand for richer food, etc. Valiance investments are primarily in Life Sciences in Europe and the US. Valiance also has a separate investment in Brazil in relation to farmland transformation
In Life Sciences, our strategy is to invest in late-stage companies where we take significant positions associated with strong governance (incl. Board seat). We typically invest either i) in clinical stage companies where a very disruptive and differentiated technology has gathered sufficient evidence and support to partially de-risk the investment or ii) in businesses about to start their commercial roll-out after several years of inward-facing technology development. At this turning point, companies tend to encounter two main difficulties which we have become experts at addressing – the difficulty to find ‘smart’ capital to fund the growth phase as well as the necessity to reinvent themselves through the addition of talented human capital at Board, Management and Team levels.

We’re the people who use our big boxes to make a massive difference. We believe in the positive impact of power and the ability to control temperature. We believe what we do opens up opportunity and creates potential for individuals, communities, industries and societies over the world. We believe when we work together we can do anything. We believe in the power of our team. We’re the people who keep the lights on. And we recruit the best talent, too. Our four values help us get even better at what we do. It’s the Aggreko way of working – we call it Always Orange. Always Orange means:
Being dynamic: We’re nimble and are always ready to react to an ever changing world
Being expert: We know our stuff, we’re great under pressure and we thrive in our busy, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. We use our experience to make a difference. We know how to challenge and we have the courage of our convictions
Being together: We play for Team Aggreko and value the expertise of everyone around us. We’re accountable and we hold others to account
Being innovative: We never miss an opportunity to learn, to look out, or to be better.
This role is created to maximise the contact between the customer and Aggreko so orders are closed and opportunities created, whilst the external sales team are actively seeking new opportunities. The internal sales person will work as part of a small team comprising 3-4 external salesmen, and manage opportunities and orders created within that team. The aim is to create more time for external sales to produce new, value added business and revenue growth.
As Aggreko have a large proportion of infrequent and lapsed accounts (x customers), the IS will be responsible for routinely contacting them to create opportunities and make Aggreko the first choice should a requirement appear. This will create time for the external salesman to focus on value added customers and new sales.
