We're a world top-100 university and member of the Russell Group of leading UK research universities, renowned for the excellence, impact and distinctiveness of our research-led learning and teaching.

About the Role:

We are currently working on modernising processes related to student communications, moving away from paper handouts to more modern methods, such as Google Sites or PDF attachments with modern design and eye-catching visuals.

Having a student who has recently come through the Department, and who has been a recipient of current communications, would be hugely beneficial in that they will be able to provide insight from a students' point of view.

The successful candidate will be required to develop a new departmental undergraduate student handbook. They will decide the format of the handbook based on their own experience, and knowledge of what today's students' needs and expectations are. They will be provided with the old-format handbook to work from, but will be expected to develop the content to be useful and attractive to our students, while maintaining the strong reputation of the University and the Department.

Requirements:

We are ideally looking for an applicant who is or has recently been an undergraduate student in APS, and who has good technical, design, language and communication skills. The applicant will be expected to show a great deal of initiative, and will be able to apply innovative solutions to outdated processes.
