Internship Customer Strategy at Aegon

Where: Netherlands

Deadline: August 31, 2020

Type: Internship

About the company

Aegon's products and services range from life, critical illness and disability insurance, to pensions, annuities, long-term savings and investments. We also offer mortgages, and car, household and travel insurance in some markets. In the US, we are known as Transamerica, one of the best known names in the North American financial services industry. Globally over 29,000 Aegon employees help 30 million customers take responsibility for their financial future.

About the role

We are looking for a student who is creative, entrepreneurial, outgoing and who likes to work and communicate with people from all over the world. You will be working closely with our team as well as with the event & communication teams on ongoing projects. Your main challenge during your internship will be on making our brand new Customer Experience (CX) Hub a success (managing our international CX community by building, maintaining and endorsing our new digital CX knowledge hub consisting of CX best practices, tools and methodologies).

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Being editor-in-chief of our quarterly newsletter (“The Customer Obsession E-zine") and deliver quarterly performance reports on this;
  • Organizing global events, e.g. the Customer Strategy Campus and Aegon Global Awards
  • Creating and visualizing CX business content with e.g., Office and Adobe programs;
  • Supporting other activities within our department
  • Managing and adapting software tools to the needs of Aegon (e.g. AwardForce)

During your internship you will work with different teams and stakeholders, this is why you must be able to work in teams but also independently. We also expect creativity from you. You do not believe in ‘inside the box/outside the box thinking’ when coming up with recommendations– as far as you’re concerned, there is no box. You are proactive, have a hands-on mentality and your organization and planning skills are on point.

Requirements

This is your future internship, because you:

  • Bachelor / Master student in e.g. Communication, Marketing or Business Management;
  • Available to start in september* fulltime for 5-7 months;
  • Very digital savvy: You have experience with MS Office, with Adobe (e.g. InDesign/Photoshop) programs and you are experienced in O365 tooling (MS Teams and SharePoint in particular)
  • Keen to learn how to use and maintain new software/apps (ex. AwardForce & Poppulo);
  • Fluent in English (both verbal and written);
  • Strong attention to details and analytical skills (calculate NPS scores with SPSS/Obsession analytics)

* It is possible that the start date will be postponed if it is not yet possible to work at the Aegon office.
