About the role
An opportunity has arisen within our HR Employee Relations Team for a District-based HR Advisor.
Working closely with Service managers within your District/Area, you will contribute to the delivery of ‘Our People Strategy’ and provide first level advice and support on HR issues including management of attendance; performance; conduct and HR policy application. Utilising HR statistical data you will provide reports and present trends and forecasts to assist managers in identifying potential issues within their area and work collaboratively to arrive at solutions and recommendations.
With excellent communication skills you will provide first level advice and support to employees on issues concerned with their employment terms and conditions and HR policies and protocols. Experience in the development of HR policy and a working knowledge of up to date employment law are essential.
Based at Barnsley Fire Station you will be required to travel to various fire stations and SYFR buildings within your District/Area.
The role of HR Advisor at SYFR is diverse and you will have an enthusiastic approach to change, along with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise your work.
