About the Role:

In this 18 month programme you will have the opportunity to experience a broad range of placements within our corporate, operations and regional HR teams. These placements will focus on areas such as Recruitment and Reward, Employee Relations, Engagement, Learning and Development, Recruitment and Reward and no two months will be the same.

Responsibilities vary greatly across our HR teams and will therefore vary across your rotations. The main point to emphasise is that to succeed in all of the rotations you will need to build effective working relationships with managers and employees. You may be involved with projects including:

  • Recruiting new employees
  • Advising on policies and procedures in a generalist role
  • Identifying competency gaps to support employee development and training
  • Coaching line managers in decision making
  • Improving employee engagement and communication

Requirements:

  • Strong A-levels with BBB or equivalent and have, or be expecting, a 2:1 degree or above in any discipline (Social Sciences, Psychology, or Business related degree would be an advantage)
  • Keen interest in HR
  • Analytical with an eye for detail
  • Highly motivated and proactive team player
  • Be self-sufficient and confident upon putting ideas forward
  • Adept at planning and organising yourself within tight deadlines
  • Able to solve problems and approach tasks creatively
  • You must be willing to learn new skills and build good relationships with other employees through effective communication
  • You must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme (18 months), be flexible to travel whilst on a placement and be fluent in English.
