About the Role:

The Graduate scheme is UK based and designed to give the Graduate Trainee a broad knowledge of how the London Market Insurance Industry works, with specific emphasis on understanding the role of a Lloyd's Broker.

The Graduate will be assigned to a number of departments within RKHS during the 18 month programme and during each placement will be assigned to a senior member of staff in order to develop their understanding of insurance and the career opportunities which are available to them. Within RKH Specialty he\she will shadow other team members who may be broking in Lloyd's and London Companies, and will attend meetings with clients and underwriters.

Requirements:

  • We're looking for confident communicators, both in person and on paper. Negotiating is a key part of this accelerated programme, and we want individuals able to influence others, and develop relationships in a positive manner.
  • Team players, obviously. We're split up into teams, and work closely within those teams, we're looking for candidates who are willing to provide support and assistance as and when required.
  • Flexibility! The job is fast paced and varied, we need adaptable, hardworking account executives to be on the ball with unexpected changes.
  • Academically, we need strong levels of numeracy and literacy, as well as an excellent attention to detail. IT skills are also necessary (Word and Excel).
