What Future Leaders programmes are on offer?

Not only do we want to find the right candidate, we want you to choose a path that’s right for you. Our Future Leaders Programmes are for those who aspire to be leaders, inspire others and relish some of the world’s biggest healthcare challenges. Our programmes are either two or three years long, and usually have 3-4 rotations. This is to enhance the development of your skills through you having immersive exposure to the breadth and depth of our business. Our programmes invest heavily in your personal development to prepare you for a career as a leader. This is achieved through regular discussions with your line manager and support from a wide network of colleagues. However, it is expected that you will also play a pivotal role in driving your development. There will be continuous training opportunities, 70% of this is on-the-job, 20% is through developmental relationships and 10% is through formal training and educational courses.

In an aligned R&D function role, expect to work in areas such as technical excellence, regulatory or R&D operations. You will learn in depth about our processes & workflows, gain understanding around how we make decisions within the R&D function & how we maintain the high-performance standards that we set for ourselves. You might have the experience of leading an end-to-end Regulatory approval process or learn about the life-cycle of our products in the packaging department. Our functional roles require strong analytical skills, an ability to work cross-functionally and a good understanding of the science behind our innovations. We have a variety of fantastic Future Leaders programmes within Research and Development including:

  • Global Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance
  • Product Development and Supply (Device Engineer, Extractables and Leachables Scientist, Process Engineer, New Imaging Technologies Scientist)
  • Regulatory Affairs
  • R&D Consumer Healthcare
