About the Role:

The programme will move the candidate through all departments of the ASD Lighting business over an initial period of 6 months, offering the successful candidate a deep insight into a technical, design-orientated manufacturing environment, after which there will be a clear focus on commercial operations for the remainder of the programme.

During the subsequent 14 month period, the candidate will gain valuable commercial experience both internally and through regular exposure to target Export markets and customers within those territories. The candidate will gain experience in International Trade and Exporting processes, as well as spending a great deal of time customer-facing in pitching and negotiating scenarios.

The position will report to the Director of Export and the target markets are the French speaking markets of France, Belgium and Switzerland.

Requirements:

Requirements:

• Must have fluent spoken and written French
• Must have a reasonable level of spoken and written English
• Must be willing to travel overseas from time to time

Preferences:

• Preferably a French native speaker
• Would suit an individual from any of the following disciplines:
  • Engineering
  • Business Studies / Economics / Commercial
  • Electronics related
• A second foreign language such as German would be a benefit
