Financial Planning Graduate Trainee Programme 2019 at Mercer & Hole

Where: England - Greater London

Deadline: January 31, 2019

Type: Graduate

About the Company:

Main business: Finance (incl. accountancy, insurance, pensions and fundraising)

We are a top 40 accountancy firm, top 25 for private client and financial planning work and we aim to do things a little differently; to excel technically; to give our clients options they hadn't even thought of and to make complex issues easy to understand.

About the Role:

Graduates who wish to pursue a career in a busy financial planning department whilst studying for a financial services qualification are invited to apply for our two-year structured training programme, which commences in September.

All trainees are provided with the opportunity for technical and personal development through comprehensive in-house training and external examination-based tuition.

They will be responsible for assisting the financial planning team with various duties including fund performance analysis, liaising with providers and drafting suitability reports. Alongside the day to day duties the candidate would also be studying the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. Upon successful completion of the Diploma, they can move on to study towards the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning with a view to ultimately becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.

Academic achievement is only the starting point. We aim to recruit people who have demonstrated an ability and a willingness to accept responsibility, because they will be expected to do so as trainees; who are able to convince us that they possess common sense and good judgment; who are high achievers outside purely academic matters, with a range of extra-curricular interests which make them interesting as people; who have an outgoing personality with an ability to think and do things for themselves, a desire to participate and a ready ability to communicate; and for whom coming to work each day is enjoyable, but who realise that there is more to life than just work.
