Deadline: November 11, 2019
About the company:
Main business: : Finance (incl. accountancy, insurance, pensions and fundraising)
Lazard is the world's leading independent financial advisor to business, government and investing institutions. We are active in many of the global markets' most impactful transactions. There is a good reason our brand inspires trust and respect the world over – our people. They are exceptional individuals who provide our clients with thoughtful advice and effective solutions to the most complex strategic and financial matters. We are looking for exceptional graduates and undergraduates to join us.
About the role:
Over 10 weeks, you’ll be fully immersed in our small team culture, getting involved in live deals with real clients and building your own network within your intern cohort through social events and activities. You can expect the senior bankers you’ll work alongside to treat you like a full-time Analyst - giving you a real flavour for the type of work we do. You’ll also be assigned a mentor and a buddy who will support you through the summer programme.
Our Summer Internship programme is an excellent way of gaining a better understanding of the nature of our business and the culture of our firm in an Analyst role. Specifically, our aim for your internship with us is for you to receive first-hand, in-depth knowledge of the business, gain practical Analyst experience, understand Lazard's culture and working style, and for us to provide an excellent networking opportunity with bankers of all levels of experience.
Training and Development:
You will be assigned an Analyst “buddy” to coach you throughout the internship, and a Managing Director mentor to give you further insight into Lazard, and a potential career within Investment Banking. As part of the ten-week internship, you will attend one week of technical training before joining your team and will also receive follow-up technical and presentation skills training during the programme.
A Lazard Summer Internship can lead to a full-time placement offer for the following year’s Analyst programme. During the final week of the internship, you will be asked to give a ten-minute presentation to a panel of senior bankers. Your presentation, along with your performance during the internship, will determine if an offer will be extended to you.
You’ll be in your penultimate year of undergraduate or postgraduate study. We look for an analytical mind and the desire to challenge yourself.
You must have ABB in your top three A-levels (excluding general studies) and a minimum predicted or obtained 2.1 university degree classification (or equivalent if you studied outside the UK).
