About the Role:

During your time on the scheme you will gain experience in the following areas of Finance:

  • Financial Reporting & Control
  • Financial Planning and Analysis

Our Finance Professional Trainee Scheme is designed to give you both hands-on practical experience and focused technical know-how, to equip you with a balanced combination of soft and technical skills to become a competent and successful Finance leader.

On top of this, we will support you through your professional accountancy qualifications of either CIMA or ACCA.

After receiving a full corporate induction, we will work with you on a local induction plan, tailored to your individual needs. Helping you to achieve your goals will be your own coach plus a mentor from a previous scheme to support you every step of the way as your develop your career with NFU Mutual.

Requirements:

  • Possessing strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Having an analytical and logical mind-set, coupled with strong numerical skills
  • Being self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines
  • Having an ability to identify and solve problems
  • Working effectively both in teams and independently as required
  • Keen to develop, learn new skills and actively participate in our Professional Trainee programme
  • Willing to commit to studying towards CIMA or ACCA qualifications within agreed timescales
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships
  • Having a positive attitude and plenty of ambition and drive to add value
  • You will have obtained, or be predicted to obtain a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree.
