About the Role:

The Trade Finance Advisory “TFA” department in the UK manages Siemens UK’s substantial portfolio of bank and corporate guarantees given in support of the UK’s product and services sales.

The job holder will report to the UK Guarantee Manager, and as part of a team of 4-5, will be responsible for the efficient monitoring and administration of all UK corporate and bank guarantees provided in support of the UK’s product and service sales.

• Monitoring overdue guarantees, determining in conjunction with the team, Legal and the business unit whether they can be cancelled, and negotiating the cancellation with the customers and the guarantor
• Preparing the quarterly bank facility usage report
• Preparing the annual bank survey response
• Preparing and researching PowerPoint presentations
• Ad-hoc projects

Requirements:

• You will be studying towards a Finance or Business related degree looking to complete a year in industry as part of your degree
• Ability to communicate within a team and across all levels of Siemens, customers and banks.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to set priorities and manage to tight deadlines
• Ability to work methodically and independently where applicable
• Willing to work flexibly within a small, established team
• Numerate, and proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
