About the Company:

King's Group is an international education organisation. We own and operate a network of British international schools and UK Academies, and complement this with services providing children’s Academic Year Abroad programmes and Summer Courses, Adult Training and Catering Services.

About the Role:

Working within the Marketing Department at our Group Central Services in Madrid, you will be interacting with all different areas of King’s Group.

• Gaining experience of the various types of marketing and communication tools used by King's Group to market our schools and business units in an international setting.
• Learning how communication works internally within the organisation and externally with parents, prospective customers and prospective teachers.
• Learning how to develop marketing materials including the design and preparation process to the final product.
• Working in partnership with the Business Development department on market research and business development projects.

Please Note: Approximately 80% of the work done by the marketing team is in English and 20% in Spanish. For this reason we need an intern who has a native competency level of English and is highly literate, because copywriting, editing and proofreading in English is a key part of the job. Applicants with basic or intermediate Spanish skills will have some advantage over students who do not speak any Spanish, but this is more to do with enjoying life in Madrid and making friends outside of work.

Requirements:

• Relevant Skills:
  • Interest in marketing and communications as a future career
  • Computer literate – experience of using Microsoft Office.
  • An interest in learning or using design and publication tools. (Inc. InDesign and Adobe Illustrator)
  • Native competency level of English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
  • An interest in learning or using already acquired, Spanish speaking & writing skills

• Special Requirements:
  • Good team player, but able to work on own initiative
  • Flexible approach to work, happy to “juggle” different projects at the same time
  • Creative and self-motivated attitude to problem solving
  • Ability to come up with, assess and deliver new marketing ideas
