About the Role:

The Converse PR team is a function which focuses on strategically placing the right stories, the right messaging, the right hype in the right places. We collaborate with media, people and partners to (pre)heat, inform and excite the marketplace through the lens of our brand priorities.

Our focus is on elevating the narrative to bring our brand and our product stories to life, generating awareness and demand within the UK.

As the PR & Communications Intern, you will be a key member of the Converse UK Marketing team, supporting on projects across the whole PR function, helping to ensure optimal exposure and coverage of Converse in the UK. You will help position Converse as the Authentic Street Style Performance Brand.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the UK PR Manager on implementing key communications strategies and activations
  • Responsible for product coordination and press office requests. Helping to drive brand heat, manage all press office requirements, sample co-ordinations and media product seeding
  • Responsible for gathering and owning all PR assets for product launches
  • Event planning and execution: assist with media events / press days, ensuring that converse is on brand when represented to the UK media industry
  • Team admin: provide support and assistance to the UK Marketing team on overall administration of projects including digital reporting, team logistics and Keynote presentation design
  • Support on photo shoots
  • Management of product ordering and PR seeding stockroom
  • Liaising with top London agencies and media houses
  • Exploring the London landscape for relevant media, events, locations and cultural moments

Requirements:

  • Currently undertaking an undergraduate degree at a British university that supports a 12 month industrial placement as part of your course
  • You possess a strong affinity with youth culture, an in-depth awareness of fashion, music and street style trends in the UK, as well as unparalleled writing and communications skills.
  • Relationships matter to you and you are good at building them.
  • In addition, you must possess an open mind, be a creative thinker, be digitally savvy and genuinely interested in keeping on top of industry news and developments.
  • You will also need a positive mindset, be able to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and peers.
