Party For The People (PFTP) is a fast growing social enterprise based in Sheffield with a second office in Bristol. We have city partners in Newcastle, Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Bristol and London. We are a unique ticketing website and online music magazine that donates the profits from booking fees to charity. We’re looking to expand our online music magazine and ticketing platform to establish our presence and promote the best in electronic music & more!

About the Role:

We are looking for someone to complete a 2-week internship as a Content and Marketing Copywriter.

The internship will require you to work alongside the Content and Marketing team to assist in researching and writing articles for our music blog/ magazine, as well as copy for our social media channels. Articles could include interviews with DJs, promoters or artists as well as gig reviews, news pieces and profiles of the charity organisations we support.

You will also assist the Marketing Manager with the scheduling of content and creation of social media posts, and our monthly newsletter.

You will be invited to participate in content strategy meetings alongside the rest of the Content team and bring your own ideas to the table.

With the company steadily incorporating more video and visual material into our promotional strategy, you may be asked to assist our videographer in writing short form video scripts, treatments and interviews.

Requirements:

We are looking for a creative team player who:

  • can work independently
  • has experience of writing
  • has knowledge of relevant publications/websites showcasing underground music, for example Resident Advisor, Stamp the Wax, The Vinyl Factory etc.
  • is able to use social media effectively
  • has an understanding of how film, visual media and digital distribution can be used for promotional purposes

The candidate may have a background in creative writing, English or Journalism. However, we will consider applications from those with different degree backgrounds, if they can demonstrate a strong passion for underground music and provide an interesting portfolio of writing.
