Campaign Intern at Centenary Action Group

Where: London, United Kingdom

Deadline: August 5, 2020

Type: Internship

About the company

We are one of the world's leading humanitarian and development charities. We work in 79 developing countries, saving lives in emergencies and finding long-term solutions to poverty for millions of people every year. We put women and girls in the centre because we know that we cannot overcome poverty until all people have equal rights and opportunities.

About the role

We would love you to come and join us as a campaign intern working 2 to 3 days a week on UK domestic policy. You will help Centenary Action Group advocate for the development and implementation of laws and policies that reduce or remove the intersectional barriers to women’s political participation and seeks to improve the representation of women in all our diversity. You will lead on our internal communications, help organise events and responses to government consultations, and support our social media and online campaigning moments, ensuring that we remain an effective cross-party coalition.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone willing to hit the ground running. We provide our interns with a varied and stimulating experience which will help position them for future career opportunities. The role also offers a great opportunity to get exposure to civil society campaigning and network with women’s rights organisations and activists across the sector.
