Sandpit Workshop: Doing good in the Sheffield city region

Overview

In times of austerity and uncertainty, doing good is becoming an increasingly complex task.

Organisations doing good in our city region (e.g. social enterprises, charities, cooperatives, non-profit service providers, community interest companies etc.) face multiple challenges, including increasing demand, limited resources and diminishing funding. Therefore, this sandpit aims to kickstart the development of innovative ways of collaboratively addressing these challenges.

To this end, the sandpit workshop will include discussion of challenges faced by those looking to do good, enabling the sharing of experiences with others, it will also explore ways in which such organisations could work with the Management School to help address the challenges they face and in doing good. Therefore, we invite leaders, entrepreneurs, employees and volunteers from such organisations, and all those that are interested in doing good more widely, for a free morning workshop.
