6:30pm, Thursday 5 April, 2018
Browns Covent Garden, 82-84 St Martins Lane, London, WC2N 4AG.
This network is designed to bring together active alumni from the departments of Economics, Law and Management who are currently living and working in London, UK.
About our Speakers:
The two alumni of The University first met in our University halls and quickly established a friendship, and later business partnership, that would prove to be highly successful.
MOPP is an online platform enabling users to find professional cleaner services (think of it as Uber with dusters!) which was sold in 2014 to US firm, Handy, in a multi-million pound deal.
In 2015, they started a new venture, Elder, which aims to link care-giving professionals with those who need it. Elder is also supported by one of the leading Venture Capital funds in Europe.
Our speakers will give a short introduction into their careers, how they pursued their entrepreneurial visions, obtained funding and also give their expert advice on how to launch a new idea.
This will be followed by a Q&A from attendees. Remember, there is no such thing as a silly question!
Prior to the talk, we hope our alumni will enjoy an informal speed-networking exercise. This is designed to help all of our alumni attendees make new, interesting contacts, get acquainted with fellow people in the room and hear about other industries and career sectors that are different (or the same) as your own.
Media Coverage of the Speakers:
